City Lights bookstore

P1050858.JPG

This bookstore is a gem. It's famous from the days of the Beat generation when the likes of Ginsberg and Kerouac used to hang out there. There still hold regular poetry readings on the top floor.

I love this book store! I have a friend who used to live in San Francisco who first took me there. Lot's of history in this spot.

Really nice photo! I love this bookstore and this area. I remember the first time I visited North Beach, I was dazzled by Vesuvio's, this bookstore, and all the cute little restaurants and shops around there.

Thanks for your comments! I also love this bookstore. It feels old and full of history is so crammed full of books and bookcases and I love the fact you can just sit down and read.
